Ramadan #5

“Nono Felipe”

“Canon EOS 20D”

Nono picked me up this morning to accompany him to an ocular inspection – the real reason however was our planned ramadan (Hidalgo trip) that day – wherein he had to get some blank DVD-Rs and MiniDV media.

I, on the other hand, was going to recieve my replacement 20D that same afternoon.

We ended up getting what we wanted… and as a bonus – treated ourselves to 500-peso PCMCIA CF adaptors for our respective laptops. Now we don’t have to rely on our ImageTanks all the time.

Anyhoo, the replacement unit was supposed to have come from a better/refined production batch (I expect no less from the wait I had to endure) and everything seemed to be in order. I’m happy for another ramadan.

“Juan Magdaraog”

“Apple 15-inch Powerbook”

“Powerworx Speedballs”

“Powerbook trackpad film”

“MTV’s Pimp My Ride”

“Chappelle’s show”

“Joey”

On another note, yesterday too was a good day. Not only were we able to meet about work, but I also was able to have my Powerbook’s casing changed. Now it’s almost as good as new!

I also got some stuff for the Mac while I was watching them take it apart and transplanting the innards to the new casing. Namely, some speedballs and trackpad protectors.

The speedballs are amazing, as they’re detachable, and are extremely compact and “storable.” As the link shows, it gives the Powerbook’s bottom nice breathing room. It also makes it extremely movable. Basically you have all the features of a coolpad (but with limited/fixed height) and the two detachable “legs” can be combined into something no more than the size of a ping-pong ball.

I used them during our meeting and everyone wants one now (since we all bring laptops) – perfectly understandable, since the the speedballs are a really good buy.

On another note, I was able to leech of Juan’s server a couple of seasons of video he downloaded. Particularly a season of MTV’s Pimp My Ride, a season of the Chappelle Show, and 8 episodes of the Friends’ spinoff; Joey

Have a say
