Missed the mark!

Finally! A quiz that’s all wrong! Well, at least most of it is bullcrap. I only put in bold the parts that are true.

Got this from Ria‘s blog.

Your Birthdate: July 27

Your birth on the 27th day of the month (9 energy) adds a tone of selflessness and humanitarianism to your life path.

Certainly, you are one who can work very well with people, but at the same time you need a good bit of time to be by yourself to rest and meditate.

There is a very humanistic and philanthropic approach in most of things that you do.

This birthday helps you be broadminded, tolerant, generous and very cooperative.

You are the type of person who uses persuasion rather than force to achieve your ends.

You tend to be very sensitive to others’ needs and feelings,#[1] and you able to give much in the way of friendship without expecting a lot in return.

What Does Your Birth Date Mean?

[1]: Yeah, but I still reserve the right NOT to do anything about it if I so choose 😉

Hola from Singapore

Just wanted to say hi from Singapore. Went on a tour half of the day today (and the whole day, a day ago). I have to be honest and say that Singapore has it’s share of “sites,” but it really isn’t for sight seeing. The aura it exudes is similar to that of Hongkong’s (at least for me) and is better for shopping than for tourism.

Tomorrow however, the fun begins as we have a whole free day and I plan to go to Funan IT center, which also happens to be really close to the Etymotic Research main office in Singapore.

Unfortunately, they don’t have any products on stock at the country at the moment, but I wanna check out what offers they may have even if it means shipping to the Philippines once the stocks get here. After all, Singapore is said to be the electronics heaven as far as price is concerned… and July is sale month here.

That’s it for now… oooooh and I have a treat for those reading the blog: 10 megabytes/30 chapters of utter bliss. Download the zipped PDF (the book title’s initials are the filename, and you’re damn right it is what you think it is!)

I prepped it myself, from an OCR trace to HTML, I thought it would be better to put it in one file, and format it better (bookmarked it too).

It’ll be up for about a week since I don’t want to get into trouble, so snag it while you can.

You ready? Here it is!

Intelligent Design

From an open letter to the Kansas School board.

I am writing you with much concern after having read of your hearing to decide whether the alternative theory of Intelligent Design to be taught along with the theory of Evolution. I think we can all agree that it is important for students to hear multiple viewpoints so they can choose for themselves the theory that makes the most sense to them. I am concerned, however, that students will only hear one theory of Intelligent Design.

Let us remember that there are multiple theories of Intelligent Design. I and many others around the world are of the strong belief that the universe was created by a Flying Spaghetti Monster. It was He who created all that we see and all that we feel. We feel strongly that the overwhelming scientific evidence pointing towards evolutionary processes is nothing but a coincidence, put in place by Him.

You can read the full letter here – with nice pictures an all. I for one dig that Coffee mug with the midget (or as they call him/her, “midgit”) hahahaha.

Scientology

For some odd reason, I found myself wiki-ing the religion which is called Scientology. I guess I saw an RSS feed somewhere discussing how it’s founder was a lunatic, but since I was on the subject, I figured to finally find out what this “Scientology,” which a bunch of high-profile Hollywood people were converting to.

At first I really thought it was the belief in technology or Science (duh). Like how everything can be explained Scientifically (e.g. no invisible all-knowing man who lives up in the sky), that sort of stance. But what I had found was totally different. And I actually had fun digging and searching for more info about it.

Not because it made sense, but quite the opposite: it was utterly ridiculous.

Mahal mo or mahal ka?

sinong mas gusto mo makasama, mahal mo o mahal ka?

Got that from Kevin’s blog, and as he said, it’s a very familiar statement. It has no relevance to my life at the time being – so I’m not writing this entry because I’m in the moment or anything.

I do want to comment on it objectively – if possible at all.

My answer was and always will be the first. I prefer to be with a person I love than a person who loves me. What makes me comment on this is because the reasons that make me take this stance before and today are probably different.
