My favorite drink

In the past the easy answer would be Coca Cola. It didn’t end there; it had to be in a glass bottle – none of that can or vendo crap; the spirit and taste are totally different across these mentioned as well as other Coke variants.

I used to drink it like water. I even remember my yaya literally setting aside a 1L bottle for me and telling everyone else that we’re out of Coke, just so I could still have some when I wanted.

But after college, that all stopped; naturally for what my Mom claimed to be health reasons. I never really thought about what “beverage” took on the title of my favorite simply because I never was a person to look for a specific beverage since then.

Now though, I can honestly say the void has been filled:

Milk Tea

First time I noticed this type of “beverage” was during my stay in Europe (I believe I was in grade school then); where they put milk in their [hot] tea. Anyways, the next time I noticed it was in China, where they served Iced Milk Tea. Suffice to say, I loved it.

Now there are two places here that I know that carry it. One would be DEC Food Plaza, and the other would be your friendly neighborhood Mini Stops. The latter is always more accessible since it’s everywhere. And whenever I see a stock of said Milk Tea, I already get it by the box (almost always finishing the store’s stock in one purchase)… just like you see in the picture.

That’s how much I love it.

2nd place would be Soy(a) Milk, wether it be of the Fat and Slim brand which isn’t quite natural tasting (but delicious nonetheless) or the more natural tasting ones such as those sold in Soyayummy.

Have a say
