Wow, the title was almost a complete alliteration!
Anyways, our group had a concert yesterday. Pictures of which I posted in the gallery.
I’m so out of practice with my photography; my hands aren’t as “steady” as they used to be – which was a pain in the ass since I was retarded enough to decide not to bring the flash. I had so many soft shots even with the 50-prime for crying out loud!
Enough bickering though. As far as the concert goes, we braved the challenging conditions we were faced with, and it turned out pretty well. Again, the Holy Spirit seemed to lend the group a helping hand.
Plus I was able to find new albums to download. During our break, the sound-system was playing some CD for the pipe-in music. It was so amazing that I couldn’t help but ask what CD they were playing. Turns out it was one of the GRP groups called “Acoustic Alchemy.” As a guitar player, how this group never came to my attention baffles me.
Suffice to say, I’m going to get every goddamn album they made hahahaha.
Next up would be the Culion concert, for which most of us have already bought preventive medicine for Malaria. We had a good time joking about the reported adverse effects it had on some people – mainly psychosis.
To quote the pamphlet (The medicine is called “Lariam” 1 Mefloquine Hydrochloride by the way):
Neuropsychiatric disorders: sensory and motor neuropathies (including paresthesia, tremor, and ataxia), convulsions, agitation or restlessness, anxiety, depression, mood changes, panic attacks, forgetfulness, confusion, hallucinations, aggression, psychotic or paranoid reactions. There have been rare reports of suicidal ideations, but no relationship to drug administration has been established.
And that’s only mentioning what it can do to your head. It also has a bunch of “disorders” in different systems of the body.
Regardless, now we’ve got an over-usable excuse for every idiotic thing we may end up doing.
