Of last Sunday

Sunday was a loaded day. We kicked off with a mass in UP, wherein there was an interesting homily about some rich person who now dedicates his life to helping the less fortunate. It’s interesting because later that night, I actually met his wife! hahaha.

Afternoon was spent practicing for the Christmas concert… so nothing to talk about there save for that fact that it was tiring

Later that night was Juan’s birthday dinner. I thought it was a small dinner followed by a team meeting… little did I know that he actually threw a party at the roofdeck of their condominium.

The traffic was horrendous, that I had to park inside the Greenhills mall area – so I stopped by Games and Gadgets along the way to get my pod a click wheel protector.

It was quite a night – it made me realize how small the world actually is. I saw Pam, the older sister of my College benchmate Tricia. (Earlier in the morning, during the mass, I saw Cris, a DWTL girl who’s going to be rectress of the Christmas batch)

And of course I met the wife of the millionaire being talked about during the morning mass’ homily. And she’s only a batch ahead of me! I was expecting a woman in her mid-thirties. Turns out they were only recently married.

Nono followed, where I proceeded to leech on his iPod for songs I don’t have.

Also, A PhilMUG member (and friend of Juan) came and brought our orders of Powerbook port covers:

I noticed one thing… ever since this whole Mac thing, I’ve developed worse spending habits. Not in the sense that I buy impulsively (that was there ever since), but now it’s more of that my normal tolerable price floor went a notch higher… and that’s a bad thing.

These examples should clarify everything considering they’re just stuff that mostly protect my laptop and iPod:

Those are indeed normal prices for those stuff, but I realized that if I was still in the PC mentality, I would have NEVER bought them. This is bad… real bad. I mean come on, 10k for simple protection. I would understand camera accessories since they actually do something.
