Ever dug the black (U2 limited edition) iPod but hated the red clickwheel? I hated it and the blasted signatures in the back! So I got myself this:

Ok, so my iPod is still white, but I got myself a black iSkin EVO2 and I’m lovin’ it!
Anyways, I’m trying to migrate my whole audio collection to it – without synching it to the PC/MAC. But I still use iTunes to manage it. I didn’t know it was possible till I tried it. I just set the iTunes music folder to the iPod itself, so while importing, it puts it directly to the unit without having redundancy.
The only downside to this is that the iPod is portable, so if I lose it, then I lose all my audio along with it hehehe. I guess I’ll have to back up those files to DVD just in case.
I’m really digging the way iTunes manages the songs, it changes the folders/filenames/ID3s on the fly – so by the time I access the iPod as an external drive, I see all the music neatly organized in folders of artists, albums, etc.
Another thing I dug was how iTunes could modify specific ID3 fields on multiple files. Meaning it’s so much easier to group your files. Anyways, I’m sure this isn’t anything new, but it’s the first time I got to use such a workflow.
