Chickened out of the gym again yesterday. Well actually Jem talked me out of it. Last friday was my fault… this time, it was hers! Instead, we watched Collateral. ‘Twas a decent movie, nothing fancy. Something worth watching if you’re not really picky.

I particularly liked the line that went something like “Find peace from the fact that you had no choice.” I dunno why though, I just liked it, probably because of the fact that sometimes, incredible truths can be derived from the simplest of phrases.

Before the movie, I waited for Jem in Ateneo since her class was short (about an hour) and it would’ve sucked to spend that hour driving home, only to have to drive back immediately (cuz of the traffic).

Good thing I thought of bringing my camera. So I killed time at the Church of the Gesu, taking some shots. Unfortunately, the light was miserable, only a tripod could’ve remedied it. I didn’t bring my monopod along for added support, and my lens’ IS (Image Stabilization) wasn’t really helping at shutterspeeds that slow, so I just shot and hoped for the best.

I probably won’t be posting pics in the gallery, but here are some low res samples of what I came up with.

Nono finally got his XDA2. Welcome to the club!

I also bought some photography stuff online. A Stofen Omni-Bounce – which I can never seem to find here in the Philippines (for my particular flash model at least). A new, kickass monopod and the best ball head for it. Also got an off-camera shoe cord, and some cap keepers.

Was my first time to order from B&H though, so I had to provide some information for my credit card to be verified. Being an international customer, I hope nothing goes wrong.
