EF Lens Work III

*The Eyes of EOS*

“Canon Asia”

“Canon EOS 300D / Digital Rebel”

“Canon PowerShot”

“Canon EOS 1D MarkII”

Canon Asia actually sent me a book after I registered my Rebel. I’ve just returned Nono’s book last night and this came in the mail today. It’s like it never left me =)

It’s not really an “educational book” as far as technique is concerned, but it contains a lot of information that can make you appreciate every part of your camera… especially the lenses.

It’s more of Canon’s showcase of their lens-lineup. And a lot of pictures courtesy of the featured lenses are attached in every page.

The average resourceful person could look at those photos, check the lens, check the information on the camera and lens when the picture was shot… and learn a whole bunch from it. Realizations such as “So that’s what that type of lens does,” or “So this lens with these settings can do this…” easily fill the readers mind.

It is also very helpful for newbie photographers such as myself who are considering buying fairly expensive lenses for general use. The L series of course would be a dream, but reading this book can aid in your decision making by showing actual output… all you have to do is pit it against your wallet and see what lens wins hahaha

The mail included some brochures on thier printers, and their famous point-and-shoots, the Powershot series. Also a brochure on their best dSLR model yet, the EOS 1D MarkII. I try not looking at it much as it puts my beloved Rebel to shame.

Have a say
