The truth of the megapixels

“Canon EOS 20D”

“Canon EOS 300D / Digital Rebel”

I lent Nono my 20D for [what was soon to be considered] the last Ateneo – La Salle UAAP game.

Before I continue… let me tell you now that he’s the only person I can trust with my cam (without me physically present that is), so for those who want to borrow it – forget it!

Anyways, he noticed something about the “resolution.” The 20D stores its images @ 72dpi (Dots Per Inch), while the 300D stores its images at 180dpi.

What gives?

Green Archers win!

Wooooooohoooooooo!

Yes! *fist pump*

This time I could say it was a nice game. It really helps to watch on the TV – as you can be at peace with whatever kind of “dubious” foul that may have been called. Thank God for replays.

Congratulations to everyone: Ateneo for putting up a good fight. La Salle for putting up a better fight till the last minute. The referees for being steadfast – despite their unenviable task of earning the ire of the losing schools.

Go La Salle!

I wouldn’t say it was a “nice” game. Since Ateneo wasn’t really psyched enough. I’d like both teams to be in their best condition so there wouldn’t be any room for hindsight, excuses, backtalk etc. when one of them loses.

Besides, it’s more fun seeing both teams play their best.

Yet I’m still happy since La Salle won. I feel it would be unfair to consider the game a fluke just because one of them didn’t do their best and the other gave it 200% (impeccable offense, defense, and mental focus by La Salle). Anybody would agree that they deserved the win.

UAAP ups and downs

Ok first off, I would like to congratulate the Blue Eagles for winning the game this afternoon (evening?) against Adamson. I must admit that it was a very impressive match. The Eagles definitely deserved that win as everyone indeed stepped up without Mr. Fonacier.

I was able to watch the last seconds of the 3rd quarter and the whole 4th through a TV – the group was in Italianni’s after singing at a wedding in San Agustin Church, Intramuros.

People I particulary enjoyed watching were Intal, and of course Mr. Tenorio. Though LA made the game winning shot, I couldn’t deny that Intal was an integral performer at the last quarter.

Again, congratulations to the team.

Random thoughts

A couple of things have happened. Best to write them down here so years along the road, I can look back and see what stuff has happened circa mid-July of 2004.

Who am I kidding, this is a mercy post just so I can post something. But might as well talk about stuff while I’m at it.
