Reprise of my old song “Your Majesty” with the following changes:
- Re-recorded the guitar part with my Taylor T5 – used percussive playing (slapping the guitar) for rhythmic effect.
- Added bass track via Reason
- Added electric guitar parts
- Added ambient pad via Rapture
- Re-done the vocal track with some lyric changes

I’ve been wanting to redo some of my older songs after getting the T5, because the guitars literally sound like shit when compared to the newer ones I made. I actually started on a couple of them, but I was able to finish the remake for “The Way it Should Have Been”
As stated [verbatim] in the Music Section:
Reprise of “The Way it Should Have Been” (duh!) with the following changes:
- A bit faster tempo, so it’s about 20 seconds shorter than the original.
- Re-recorded the guitar part with my Taylor T5
- Changed the percussion section with better sounding instruments (via Reason)
- Added a very subtle ambient pad (via Cakewalk Rapture)
- Re-done the vocal track with some lyric changes
Over-all, this is a better version, and it’s just fun to compare it because it shows clearly how much my sound has changed from the last time I recorded it.

I felt compelled to translate the song to English for an impending “event”… no, I do not intend to re record it in English. What it’s actually for, you guys will soon know in a couple of weeks.
Suffice to say that this is for those people who don’t know the language (tagalog), but took the effort to listen to the song nonetheless. I truly appreciate the time you took to listen to it – so I’m putting the same effort on translating it to english to make the song make sense to you, as well as show you how much more effective the lyrics were when written in our language. Another song entitled “Color” has been posted on the music page. It’s a song from my band from high school (circa 1996). It was a collaborative effort of three of us in the band, however to be fair, the bulk of the song was from our vocalist Raffy Manalo (who wrote the words and basic melody).
It’s very upbeat, which is a welcome break from the previous two, slow songs.
And yet another song has been uploaded to the music section. This time, it’s a religious song composed by my friend (GP Eleria) entitled “Jess”.
He also did the sequencing of the background music, so my role in the song (aside from the vocals) is the mixing and mastering – which was quite a challenge because he sent me a single track for the music. All instruments, loops etc. were already mixed into the track so there was no way to manipulate individual instrument levels.
