Catharsis

Next time, someone just better remind me not to change my way of thinking.

I’ve been through enough good and bad experiences to know how to get the best out of them… at the risk of becoming “evil” to others’ eyes (but with no intention of being so).

But then there are a few goddamn times I let my guard down totally. I revert to being that loser I swore never to become again, and end up experiencing the same pain that made me the man I am today.

This too shall pass I guess, but not now, not yet. I’ll let myself enjoy this pain, since it’s been a while since I’ve felt it, and it keeps me grounded somehow… and quite frankly makes me glad that I was jaded in the first place – there’s no place like home, I guess.

So when it does pass, I’ll once again be steadfast with my ideals, and just continue being the juggernaut I usually am… despised by others, but loved nonetheless by the people important to me.

Who am I kidding, I can say this but at the end of the day, I’m still a sucker. I know that all it takes is one feeling to mess with my mind totally. So what if I’ve had so much experience, it’s not like they ever helped me get what I really wanted… only once did that happen, and that too crumbled sooner or later. And I know I’m a sucker for it.

It’s no wonder we humans are so damn violent: even at the emotional level, we seem to make it a point to get ourselves into really painful situations.

We are all suckers, it’s just human nature.

iPod photo

Ipod Photo

I finally got my iPod photo a while ago. Initial transfer was a pain even if it was via FireWire.

Some new stuff (aside from photo support of course) that wasn’t present in my 4th-gen. The colored screen is great. It’s like the first time I switched to color with the Nokia phones: at first you don’t think its a big deal, and continue to do so… until you start using a B/W again.

The package was pretty good as it had lots of stuff:

  • Charge/sync dock
  • AC charger
  • FireWire cable
  • USB cable
  • Belt case
  • Case for the belt case (well at least that’s what I call it)
  • iPod sock
  • Video cable
  • Earphones, software CD, etc. Read More

Busy day

You know what? I never knew what my adorable readers wanted to hear more. Is it my life in general (actual kwento), or my perspective of life (my discussions of the issues I see over the net)? But being that I probably only have 2 avid readers/visitors (one being myself), this whole question probably isn’t worth asking in the first place.

Anyways, I plan to talk about my day since a lot of stuff happened.

Banksy

banksy

Graffiti, vandalism, policitcal statement, or Art?

Sometimes, there are people who go do the darndest things… but you end up loving them anyways.

Such is a man called Banksy, who is notoriously known (and wanted) in the UK for his penchant of secretly putting up works of art of “subversive political nature” in public places (Parks, Museums, etc.)

His latest work is a six-meter tall bronze statue which depicts Lady Justice as a prostitute wearing leather boots and a thong, in Clerkenwell Green – as protest to the British Legal System.

This news article was a few weeks back, but I only got to post it now since I wanted to include some cool picture along with this entry… which you now see on the left – It’s a doctored version from what you will find in his website.

My hats off to this guy, he’s talented, and what he does makes sense: His method is radical enough to be noticed… but not radical enough to get people harmed/killed. And quite frankly can be classified as art in its own right. An almost if not perfect form of protest… sure beats the hell out of rallies, etc.

Be sure you get to read his thoughts on his website’s “help page.” Sometimes the simplest, and seemingly most ridiculous answers can make so much sense for the simple reason of them being right.

I’m glad I ain’t a woman

Being a DIY (Do It Yourself) type of person, I took the cue of following and article describing the process of cleaning your dSLR sensor without having to spend more than $100 (the price of one of the best cleaning kits available for the task).

The gist of the article is that the natural property of Visible Dusts’ famous cleaning kit, the Sensor Brush, can be attained by using a regular, synthetic nylon cosmetics brush.

Suffice to say that the article was convincing enough to make me a believer. Today, I went with my mom to the department store in search of this so called “mask brush.”

And the trouble we had to go through for a brush really made me glad I wasn’t a woman.
