Congrats Ateneo

People know (or my friends at least) that I’m not really big into the whole UAAP thing (my sister is though). They also know that while my sister and I studied in Ateneo, we root for La Salle.

Having said that, I should be feeling sad… but I’m not.

I can honestly say that this season, Ateneo deserves the championship – unequivocally. They’ve been the best and consistently performing team throughout the season, bar none (nag-sweep ba sila; as in walang talo the whole season? it seems that way eh).

As much as it pains me to say it, the whole “mayabang ang Atenista kasi meron ipagyayabang,” which is one of the main reasons I don’t share the school’s “spirit;” I will let slide this time. Be proud of what you’ve accomplished. Your team definitely earned and deserved it. Just don’t overdo it folks!

Crossing fingers…

I purchased this item on the 9th of September and was pretty stoked. As you know, when I’m stoked – I blog about it. But I’m still holding off until I actually get a hold of the item.

The reason is because the transaction seemed too good to be true; and I wasn’t about to share my joy, only to find out at the last minute that it was a false alarm. In fact I’m breaking the rule somewhat today because even if I’m absolutely sure it has been shipped to my aunt’s house in the US, I’ve yet to have them confirm if the item is indeed the item I’ve purchased. You never know; there’s always a first time for me to be a victim of the classic “bait and switch” in online transactions.

HOW TO: DIY slim duct-tape coin purse

I’m looking for a certain kind of coin purse; small and slim – just so I can get through the day with change, where I would empty it whenever I get home and put it straight into the “piggy-bank”

You’d be surprised how hard it is to find something like that here… unless I was willing to spend north of 2k from brand-named ones (Mont-Blanc coin purses cost more than 8k!)

So I decided that while I’m waiting for a chance to purchase from Amazon, I’d make my own. I’ve taken the liberty of documenting the “project” in case someone else wants to do something similar.

Just do it!

Spot-on article; very much in line with my way of thinking/living. What a relief to know that I’m headed in the right direction 🙂

Here are the rephrased points.

  4. Think less, act more Incidentally, this also is something WOMEN, in particular, should take to heart. Notice how women love seeing girl-power success stories. But take a look at what’s common among those “successful/empowered” women. Whether you like to admit it or not, it’s because they think/act like men when it comes to getting what they want. The rest of the women should really take a hint.
  5. Lose the excuses
  6. Stop acting like you’re busy.
  7. Know when you’re reaching your tipping point.
  8. List what you don’t like about your life
