When children start early

OMFG – This is so freakin’ hilarious

<ACTUAL STRIP POSTED BELOW CUZ IT TAKES UP TOO MUCH REAL ESTATE>

See the expressions on those kids’ faces? You can almost swear the girl knew exactly what she was doing. Hahahaha. Girls like these aren’t people to mess with.

This is FUN!

There’s this blog that popped up that was supposed to “shake up” an institutionalized forum. I find myself visiting it more often recently because partly because of the “sensationalism,” as one commenter put it (everybody loves to read about dirt hehehehe)

Another was the fact that the author managed to raise some really legitimate concerns. I respect the official forum’s rules and understand why some things are simply not discussed for the sake of maintaining order – it being an officially recognized Apple forum and all. Regardless, people are still itching to talk about some sensitive topics and quite frankly, in a sick twisted sort of way, I’m glad it was started.

I’ve been speaking my mind there too once in a while, but I didn’t choose to be anonymous – as a result, I’ve been subject to the same flame everyone was afraid of getting burned with. Do I regret it? Hell no! At the end of it all, I am secure that I my heart was in the right place… people may not agree with me, but at least I wasn’t chocolate covered horse-shit 😉

The only bummer is that everyone else is anonymous, so I don’t get to see which people I should listen to or just ignore. Everyone thinks differently and I’ve been enlightened as much as vindicated in the short time I’ve visited and contributed. I think that’s a beautiful thing. But really, there are some people there that are simply not worth one’s time.

Symantec Brings Complaint Against MS to EU

In one of the comments in my past post, the commenter said I should focus more on tech stuff since blogging about the personal stuff can get quite… uninteresting. Although I don’t really understand what her conception of a “blog” is, I would say it was a personal journal unless specified otherwise. But yes, I do like talking about tech stuff too so how ’bout this post to call it even 😉

Symantec Brings Complaint Against MS to EU

linumax writes “Symantec has made a complaint against Microsoft to EC anti-trust regulators over the software giant’s entry into the security market. The “informal” complaint allows the Commission to consider whether or not an anti-trust case is merited. The Commission is the executive branch of the European Union (EU).” From the article: “The news comes on the day Microsoft announced plans to begin offering business users an integrated anti-virus and anti-spyware product called Microsoft Client Protection. A beta version of this product is expected to be released by year’s end. The company is already offering some customers a beta version of its Windows OneCare consumer security software. At issue is Microsoft’s plan to bundle its security software with Windows Vista, the next major version of the Windows operating system due next year.”

Site updates

Wala lang… just so I can get to use naman this category once in a while.

The guestbook script I use both here and in http://www.bukaspalad.com has always been subject to spam commenters ever since I put them up. I usually do a general clean up once week to erase those unwelcome entries. Of course I don’t get to do that all the time so there are days that the guestbooks are flooded with irritating spam entries. A guestbook entry is set to email me – and daily, I see more or less 10 entries that are purely spam on the average.

So a couple of days ago, I took the time and searched the web for an updated version of the script, in the hopes that there has been some spam protection integrated in the new build… no go.

But I was able to find a modified version of the script by someone who put a simple passcode provision to avoid spambots. I’m happy to say that I haven’t received any spam since then.

Beautiful game

For a split second, I was contemplating shifting my UAAP attention to DLSU-FEU games instead of my normal ADMU-DLSU matchup preference. Iba talaga maglaro yung mga team na to… hindi ka magsisisi kahit sino manalo.

Sayang man na natalo La Salle, considering that Arwind played rather lousy (considering his average stats), they still won… that just goes to show that they were the better team this time around.

And when Isip was asked na ano naiisip niya the last minutes/seconds of the game, he said ultimately that “God is good.” And I simply smiled… because as much as I wanted DLSU to stretch it to a 3rd game (and win), I look at my life right now and just had to agree with Mr. Isip.

Kudos to FEU, you truly deserved to win. See you next season! And thank you for giving me a free dinner (it was my friend’s treat since FEU won)

Note to self: Never watch the game in Katips anymore – watching in that place jinxes everything! Unless you want free dinner, or plan on betting against DLSU hahahaha.
