Beautiful game

For a split second, I was contemplating shifting my UAAP attention to DLSU-FEU games instead of my normal ADMU-DLSU matchup preference. Iba talaga maglaro yung mga team na to… hindi ka magsisisi kahit sino manalo.

Sayang man na natalo La Salle, considering that Arwind played rather lousy (considering his average stats), they still won… that just goes to show that they were the better team this time around.

And when Isip was asked na ano naiisip niya the last minutes/seconds of the game, he said ultimately that “God is good.” And I simply smiled… because as much as I wanted DLSU to stretch it to a 3rd game (and win), I look at my life right now and just had to agree with Mr. Isip.

Kudos to FEU, you truly deserved to win. See you next season! And thank you for giving me a free dinner (it was my friend’s treat since FEU won)

Note to self: Never watch the game in Katips anymore – watching in that place jinxes everything! Unless you want free dinner, or plan on betting against DLSU hahahaha.

Also, I wonder if there will ever come a time when I get to watch a competition where the winner didn’t have to drag God into everything hehehehe. Not that I would like it any other way, but wouldn’t it be really cool to hear something like:

INTERVIEWER: So what are you feeling now that you’ve won? PLAYER: Nothing really, we played to win… and won… simple as that. That’s the reason why we practiced our asses off. We deserve to win just as much as the other team does if they won, so it’s all good.

Aaaaaah, that’d be the day!

Or what about what the Red Hot Chilli Peppers said when they won an award:

We’d like to thank Satan

Hahahaha

The best answer I’ve heard so far is by Kanye West when he won a much coveted Grammy award, which sounded something like this:

People were asking me what would I do if I didn’t win the award… I guess now we’ll never know.

Bravo!

Have a say
