Soulsearch in Boracay

Our barkada’s trip to the shores of Boracay.

More pics in the gallery. Also got to add some pics to the Engrish section.

FYI, “Soulsearch” is the name of our barkada. Don’t ask why we’re called that – and yes we are all aware that the name sucks… it just grew on us I guess.

It was a fun experience, but not without its drawbacks.

  • there are just too many people. Some people might actually prefer it that way, but Cris and I would rather be on a secluded and exclusive beach resort.

  • I didn’t get to use my tripod that much. Because of the people, there wasn’t really any decent shot to be “setup” as it were. Also, even if my tripod was considerably lighter, we ended up walking so much that I decided to leave it in the room after the first day.

  • Food on the hotel was free but horrible. Honestly, I would have had no problems paying to eat out for every single meal if need be.

On the plus side:

  • The beach (swimming) was fun. You know me – put me close to a body of water and I’m a happy camper 1 Hell, I even just leave my camera and forget about taking pictures… and a lot of people can attest to this fact.

  • Of course the company, it’s been so long since the last time the barkada went on a gimmick together.

  • First plane trip together with Cris

  • Vindicated the usefulness of the new camera bag I bought

  • Finally got to utilize Aperture on the Hackintosh when I got home. All pictures you see there didn’t go though Photoshop at all, they were all post-processed via Apple’s Aperture software

  1. Hahahaha! You know what’s funny? Muntik na akong magtampo na hindi ako na-invite, but when I did a frantic scan of my last two months’ text messages, there I saw Tricia’s invite hehe! Oh well. Yan kasi ulyanin. 🙂 I now remember seeing the message then forgetting to text back, and forgetting about it altogether!

Have a say
