Updates and other stuff

Updated the nBLOG Photo Archive (not to be confused with the main gallery) to paginate the photos. Since the photos used in the blog are small(ish) – there’s no need to generate thumbnails, but loading all of them in one page has its share of penalties with regards to bandwidth. The pagination of the pages should solve this problem.

I also will be applying the pagination to the complete article archive for the same reasons. Read More

“Canon EOS 20D”

“View product page”

Nono and I went on another pilgrimage to Hidalgo as I accompanied him to get his 20D and some other stuff.

We then went to Aperture Banawe to get his ImageTank, and have my ImageTank warrantied (the batteries were acting up). I must say that the new batch of tanks are pretty sexy as they’re now silver instead of the sick blue I have – I wish they’d just replace the unit with a fixed, new batch instead of fixing the same one hehehehe but that’s just my OC-ness on color-coordinatedness talking.

And of course, I just had to buy stuff. After all, why go through all the trouble of circling the whole of Metro Manila (Quiapo to Banawe) when you don’t intend to get something out of it! Read More

“Canon EOS 1D MarkII”

“Canon EOS 20D”

“Canon EOS 10D”

“Read review”

Ok, here’s my lowdown of the Canon EOS 20D

There have been arguments that it’s more like a baby MarkII rather than a successor to the 10D. Of course, it still is shit compared to the MarkII but the 20D as of this moment, probably merits it’s own pricepoint – right smack in the middle of the 10D and MarkII.

Lucky for us, it’s still priced like a 10D… which makes it as valuable as a 300D at its pricepoint. Seems that Moore’s law is gaining.

New stuff

My sis arrived from the US last week and we had a little get together dinner last night. The stuff I had ordered are now with me:

Though I’ve packed my 300D back in the box (I’m selling it), I just had to try our the monopod and off-camera shoe cord. So I took out the camera [hopefully] for one last time and made the most out of it.

Pics and details down below…
