Before anything else, this is probably just a sourgraping post. Since I can’t get the iPhone anytime soon, I’m trying to rationalize and make myself feel better by pointing out the factors that could make the said mobile device impractical for the time being.
But before I get into that, more eye-candy for everyone:
Great debate on atheism and religion. This man is amazing. I’m amused by the fact that I always can’t help but take his side on all these debates – but still disagree with his view ultimately.

I have been featured as an… er… “featured artist” in one of the Podcasts I love listening to. And it’s a very humbling [and terrifying!] experience to have a segment in a show which also had interviewed industry heavyweights such as Grammy Award Winning sound engineer Charles Dye among others.

Got to watch Casino Royale last night.
While I was never really a fan Mr. Fleming’s Bond series (I find Mission Impossible more fun to watch) I have to say that people should cut the new guy some slack. If you get past the whole stigma of James Bond having to look really good, I’d say this new guy did pretty well. Not that the movie had a lot of “acting” in it, but you know what I mean.
Anyways, I couldn’t get the theme song out of my mind. It was awesome. When I first heard it, I said to my girlfriend:
I think this is Audioslave, I’m pretty sure the singer’s Chris Cornell.
I still wasn’t sure since the musical style didn’t sound like Audioslave – it sounded more like Cornell’s songs during his stint as a solo artist. Sure enough, at one point in the credits, it stated clearly stated “Chris Cornell”… not Audioslave.

Here are real-world examples of how the new MBPs perform. The purpose of the videos isn’t so much as to show how much faster (or slower) it may be compared to other systems – but to ease Apple users’ minds should they be considering an upgrade.
First I’d like to apologize for the horrible video quality. I was using an external iSight which had a hard time focusing (it would switch focus every few seconds, so I had to kill the auto-focus) The movie was captured using a small resolution setting so YouTube then blew it up… and ergo the blurriness.
