Trillian 2.013 Pro and patches released

A few days ago Trillian users everywhere couldn’t log in to Yahoo! Messenger. Yahoo probably changed some protocols when they upgraded their client.
Fortunately the guys at Cerulian Studios were quick to the punch and have released patches to fix the problem. And released a new Pro build (2.013) while they were at it.

I can’t believe PLDT MyDSL allowed more than a day. of network downtime! My internet connection was down since 11:00pm Sunday night, came back about 2:30am this morning. How do I know? I made sure to be awake when it came back, just to announce to the world this unacceptable mishap.
Nono’s blog mentioned something about customer support. I dare say that this is the reason why.
Yahoo fights back
Due to the pressure GMail was putting on all free webmail providers, Yahoo has decided to fight back with 100MB of storage.
Funny if you ask me, how do you expect 100MB to fight with 1GB. Well for one thing, you can sign-up with Yahoo Mail anytime as against GMail‘s current by-invitation sign-up priviliges.
In case you didn’t know, for those paying subscribers to the Yahoo Mail Plus package (such as myself), we now get TWO GIGABYTES of storage. Now that’s something that can catch GMail users’ attention.
But is it really worth switching back for the space? GMail still has tricks up their sleeve…
