A whole bunch of stuff happened yesterday…

The morning was spent for a quick trip to Infomax Megamall where I purchased yet another bag.

The middle [and actually a whole chunk] of the day was spent with Nono, his brother Winch, Tuna, Noel and Benedict in San Agustin church where we shot the wedding and reception of a batchmate of ours.

The night was spent eating desert in the last stretch of what was supposed to be our family’s thanksgiving party. Now why we celebrate Thanksgiving in the first place – I haven’t the foggiest of ideas. (feeling Amerikano kme eh is what I’d like to say hahahahaha)

Updates and other stuff

Updated the nBLOG Photo Archive (not to be confused with the main gallery) to paginate the photos. Since the photos used in the blog are small(ish) – there’s no need to generate thumbnails, but loading all of them in one page has its share of penalties with regards to bandwidth. The pagination of the pages should solve this problem.

I also will be applying the pagination to the complete article archive for the same reasons. Read More

Random thoughts

A big thank you to JC, for pointing out a bug in my layout due to the Google Adsense ads I included.

For some reason, both FireFox and IE don’t display my Google Adsense ads. I’m guessing its the part of the ad-blockers (which speed up pageloads)

Anyways, because of that, my site has been looking strange for the past couple of days without my knowing. It’s fixed now, so all is back to normal.

nBLOG pseudo photoblog?

As you all can see, though not a dedicated photoblog, my weblog has entries with photographs. Photographs which will never find themselves included in the main Gallery. I’d like to call these photos “outtakes.”

However, I’ve added an index that shows every outtake ever posted. This way, none of the photo’s are wasted and/or forgotten. It’s pretty useful for updating the blog – if I want to reuse some photos for some posts, I don’t have to dig in the FTP and check out the filenames since the blog gallery already displays them.

You can also see the link under the archives header in the main weblog page – named nBLOG Photo Archive

UPDATE: the photoblog is no more… I moved all pics into Flickr.

The site transition is over

Remember the last post about v6? Well you could discard that now since It was a test post.

I’ve finished fixing the stylesheets for all the inner sections of the blog. So I can proudly say that you will not find shitty, messed up elements in strange places [and sizes] anywhere in the blog – or site for that matter.

Oh I missed something, there are about 2 parts of the blog which probably will be “ugly.” Namely the search results page and comments area [and form] in the individual archive pages – both of which I forgot to style… I’ll get to them soon enough.
