Can someone fill me in if Gloria has done anything stupid recently? I mean I know about the whole Garci thing, but I’m confused as why there are still so many rallies popping up? Did I miss something? Because if it’s still about that issue, then the way our society is handling it is pretty embarrassing.

I admit it’s a very complicated situation, how the public trust was betrayed – but this is speaking from an idealist perspective. This isn’t counting the whole reality of things.

I asked my Mom just now “Has Gloria done anything stupid recently” – and I mean something with the same gravity of that whole Garci charade. She said not to her knowledge. So if anyone reading this can enlighten me, please tell me what all the ruckus is all about.

Having said that, I will assume that indeed nothing else has happened and will discuss stuff with that assumption.

New wallpaper

For some reason, I thought I wanted a new look for my desktop. So I went ahead and did this:

I dunno about you guys, but I really like the simplicity of it, plus the general darkness of the wallpaper is better for the LCD’s lifespan. I put the dock to the right and made the background transparent… and finally set the application arrows to grey instead of black.

Let’s talk about sex

Sex makes people healthy, cheerful, strong, beautiful and sleepy:

It is generally believed that human beings have sex either for pleasure or reproduction. However, the number of people driven with these motivations has been reducing steadily during the recent years. The majority of humans use sex as the most pleasant and available remedy for a whole bouquet of problems.

DUH!?!? Why are news items like these popping up now? This has been a fact since the beginning of time! In fairness, it was dated July 2005, but still!

It’s a good argument nonetheless to use for persuading your girl/guy, who likes going to the gym, to put their efforts to “better use” hehehehe. Seriously.

GoogleTalk and IM in general

Regardless of my opinions about GoogleTalk (which I will discuss below), I’ve added GTalk to Adium.

Hence, to make a long story short, if any friend out there [who’s reading this] has GoogleTalk, e-mail me your account name so I can add you.

You can also hit me via IM on any of my other accounts, just don’t use the comments section of the blog for obvious reasons… unless you want to take the risk of spammers aggregating your emails.

Normally, I’d be fine with posting my GMail address here, but ever since I got the account I never really gave it out to people because I want people to remember my yahoo address alone (and I simply forward it to GMail in case I want to use it)
