On our messageboard, there was a picture of the candidates for the new PBB Celebrity Edition. I did a double-take and saw that Mich Dulce was on it. Visited the official site, visited Quark’s blog, and I guess only today did it sink in that she’s really part of it.
Mich was a benchmate of ours during college. I can say that she was pretty outspoken to say the least. I have no idea what personality she has now since we’ve been out of touch for the longest time, but I after readin Chris’ comment:

I’d have to agree. Even as a benchmate, I could only take her in small doses. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was the first one out. Unless of course she does a complete 180 and becomes a maka-masa character. But either way, people who know her… know her. Putting on that facade would really prove interesting to watch! If she’s lucky, and if she’s not “known,” then that facade would probably be beneficial if she could keep it up.
On the other hand, I really don’t see why celebrities should have these kinds of breaks. I mean there are more people out there who need those prizes. I’d understand if the prize was like a movie deal, commercial deal, something applicable to artists.
A rich artist getting another deal on a movie, or being given a recording contract, etc. doesn’t bother me, it comes with the territory. But a rich artist getting richer because of something that already starts helping them upon joining is kind of unfair if you ask me. The game itself already gives them exposure they need as an artist, and they even get a million bucks? So if they win, they’ll be a million richer, and have tons of endorsements. Take a look at that Sam Melby guy, he was kicked out, but he became a Bench model, and a recording artist. That doesn’t sound like what a loser would get doesn’t it? It’s still beyond me why he was part of PBB in the first place.
Anyways, call me bitter or whatever, but I really think that artists (or any successful person), if they are to join gameshows, it should be a gameshow that only they can do. Or at least have prizes that would commensurate the effort/sacrifice they would be doing.
The plus side however, is at least we’ll see some decent looking people… hehehehe. If only they take out the censorship.
I sure hope you weren’t talking about GSM! GASP Girl’s okay, and yeah, she’s got quite a unique character. But I highly doubt she was a benchmate… Otherwise, Leric, that Ana girl, that other girl, and especially that other physics girl were all benchmates, too. Um, no.
