Apple Talk

DJ and I were shooting the breeze and we got to talking about GTD… and ultimately what potential role Apple apps could play in getting your life organized.

I personally don’t use the GTD method, as I usually get things done either way. I’m probably not as streamlined/efficient as people who actually use GTD methods, but I’ve always thought that those methods were for people who needed to get things done – so if you’re getting things done anyway, why bother? But I digress.

Lawyers

I don’t know if I’m doing good or bad by stoking the flame on this issue, but I’ll say my 2 cents worth on this matter anyways.

I admit, it’s an issue I have nothing to do with, nor have the credibility required for my opinion to even matter. Still, I’m commenting because I can relate to the underlying objective sentiment that apparently has been lost due to personal interpretation of the parties involved. And believe me when I say it’s a similar sentiment that could be applied to ANY situation where “qualifications” is concerned.

Before anything else, I’m not sure if Punzi would want me to give him more negative exposure than he’s already gained, so this post will not have any links whatsoever save for this initial link to the his blog post which compelled me to write; and hopefully show my support to him.

Not the usual cross-post

An entry to test some cross-posting from my site.

While I do know different [free] sites have cross-posting capabilities already, I still would rather do everything through my own site.

On Religion

I just got to listen to some radio interview which got me interested in talking about some issues. I’ll explain the “trigger” in a latter post, but suffice to say I’ll probably write a series of posts sensitive topics we usually encounter.

I’ll call it The Political Incorrect Series, In which I plan to give my 2 cents worth on gender, the handicapped, and race. But first off, my favorite: RELIGION.

Forcing a Time Machine size limit

After getting my Time Capsule, I’ve now started using Time Machine (TM) to backup my data.

The “image” file TM uses is variable. Upon the creation and first backup; it starts out small (or whatever size the data you’ve just backed up). It does however grow over time as it tries to retain copies of old files as well. So basically the bigger the space it can work with, the further “back in time” you could restore your files as it were.

Now that’s all fine and dandy, but they should really give the user an option to specify how big they allow this image to be. And I’ll explain in a sec why this is something you’d want… as well as how to accomplish it. Read More
