Halimaw (monster)… the name I gave my desktop computer. I seldom address it as such since its size is the only constant thing that justifies the monicker.

Well, I’ve just upgraded my PC. It was a long overdue upgrade, but the thing that sent me over the edge was my itch to play Bioshock. And as of this moment, I can once again call it a monster of a PC with pride 😉

Sonar 6

Just like iTunes 7 introduced significant feature additions compared to the previous version, Cakewalk has rolled out some enhancements to their flagship sequencing sofware that Sonar users would definitely appreciate. If you’re a Sonar user and were always wondering when a good time to upgrade was, I’m telling you that NOW is the time!

And from the features I’ve listed below… I’m now escalating my view of the my previous post, from “I want this” to “It will be mine.” – last time I said that was for the T5… hehehe. It will fucking be mine!

I just hope it would be out by the time were in the US (they say it might be released Jan next year pa)

Time to upgrade

After my PC has been giving me problems, I’ve decided that it’s time to upgrade. But this time I decided not to really go for the highest specs, but to build a practical gaming system / Digital Audio Workstation.

Fortunately for me, a bunch of components which I’ve spent quite a lot on are still very much in the game and haven’t lost their appeal, such as the Lian-Li casing, the hard disks, audio card, cd-roms, monitor, keyboard/mouse, etc. I basically just had to change the Videocard and CPU. Unfortunately, the CPU I intend to buy entailed that I had to change the motherboard, since it was a different socket type. With such a drastic change, my current RAM would do the new components justice. And of course it was time for a new Power Supply Unit just to be on the safe side.
