On Nickelback and “musical fraud”

I may be one of the few people that are alone in this (is that sentence even right?) – but I just have to comment on a recent “phenomenon” that has been making waves on the internet about the credibility of Nickelback.

For those of you who don’t know, Nickelback has recently been attacked, accused of “recycling music” – hence are “ripping-off” the fans by feeding them with material that has already been used.

Some music reviews

I was able to do some album devouring for the past two days (usually right before I sleep). So I got to scratch out a bunch of albums off my “unlistened songs” list. The albums were Rob Thomas’ new Something to Be, Nickelback’s four albums (The State, Silver Side Up, Curb, and The Long Road) and finally, a taste of a band named Meshuggah.

And just as I thought my un-listened list was going down… I just had to add a TON of new albums like the almost complete discography of Queen (which, in itself was already 19 albums) to name a few.
