Thoughts on American Idol

I don’t watch TV, I don’t tune in to AI, but I am aware of the players – and my sister clued me in eariler in the season for the people to “watch out” for.

Sufficed to say, with my sister as my witness (and some other friends who I discussed it with) – I kinda felt Kris was going to win it… in spite of the fact that Allan had “superior” vocals and showmanship.

Kelly Clarkson: Breakaway

I just finished listening to Kelly Clarkson’s album Breakaway. For those who don’t know her, she was the first American Idol.

Constantine is gone

Constantine isn’t the best singer, but come on, anyone can see that he’s the most well-rounded performer out of all the contestants.

Simon, although brutal with his comments, has never missed the mark with his assessments. I believe that despite how he disagrees with Constantine’s “rocker” style, I don’t think he ever suggested that Constantine didn’t belong in that competition – and he’s absolutely correct.

But then again, the people decide ultimately… and it’s the same people that voted for Bush hehehe so I guess I can’t really say it is unexpected.

I just hope that fatass and/or stupid white kid are next. They deserve to be eliminated – not Constantine, not Anwar, and other performers before them.

I hope people stop voting based on popularity – but overall skill, character, and charisma. Not just because the prick grew up on the same country/state/town/block you’re in.
