Damn it all to hell!

Here’s a nice site to vent out your frustrations. Useful if you feel helpless and bitter hahahaha. I bet my sister has someone specific in mind to use this on as well.

www.youaredamned.com

Too bad it has a limit on the number of characters you can use.

I love how the “application” was developed – classy visual treatment 1 Very Diablo-esque if you ask me. in spite of the subject matter, excellent implementation of array handling, the choice of audio/sfx/music. Much respect to the person/people who made this.

Why you should use Flickr

It’s been a long while since I last posted anything – doing NYC hours for work can really take its toll on you. But during the day, when not doing errands, or hanging out with my girlfriend (or sleeping). I’ve been tweaking nargalzius.com quite a bit.

Of course a lot of other stuff has happened but lets save those for another day. This time I just want to pimp Flickr after something I recently did with my site.

Just recently, I finally convinced myself to sign-up with Flickr‘s premium membership to lift the limitations of the free service (infinite upload bandwidth and collection/set creation, etc.).

Now I’ve always had the preference to use Flickr for all my picture needs. After all, even the free service they have already has pleny-a-benefit if you want to have reliable image hosting that can embedded anywhere. I even didn’t mind the premium membership price because it was well worth it.

The only reason I didn’t go all-Flickr was because for a “personal gallery,” I really wanted people accessing it through my domain and have the layout/design gel with my sites overall theme. Hence, I used to have a separate gallery for my actual photo sets. And just used Flickr as a general repository for images I use for blog posts. Read More

I’ve been tracking my feed activity through Mint, via a “pepper” 1 What they call “plugins” for Mint that can track FeedBurner stats… so I did some .htaccess jiggery-pokery 2 A term I blatantly filched from Mark Gruber of DaringFireball.net to make the URL redirect to the FeedBurner site without you guys having to do anything. So while you clicked/subscirbed to /blog/rss.xml in my domain, you were most probably redirected without noticing it to http://feeds.feedburner.com/nargalzius/nblog

Which brings me to this post; I’ve found a way to track my feed’s activity locally – hence FeedBurner isn’t needed anymore.

While I did delete the FeedBurner account and had it redirect back to my original feed, in case some subscribers still have http://feeds.feedburner.com/nargalzius/nblog as the registered feed address in their respective RSS readers, now would be the perfect time for me to urge everyone to change the feed URL back to http://www.nargalzius.com/blog/rss.xml

And in case any new reader is wondering what RSS is – I’ve discussed [in great length] it here.

Twenty Reasons to Have Sex When You Don’t Feel Like It

As blatantly ripped-off from the following article, I present to you: Twenty Reasons to Have Sex When You Don’t Feel Like It

It’s funny how sex factors into the way people describe the state of their relationships. Studies show that, when things are going well, sex contributes only 15 percent to the overall satisfaction of a relationship. But if things aren’t going well, it contributes 85 percent to the overall dissatisfaction.

Sex has many advantages to both people involved. Here are just a few.
