I was amused because I remember tasting the said fruit months ago; it is indeed just like the article says.

Not the usual cross-post

An entry to test some cross-posting from my site.

While I do know different [free] sites have cross-posting capabilities already, I still would rather do everything through my own site.

Forcing a Time Machine size limit

After getting my Time Capsule, I’ve now started using Time Machine (TM) to backup my data.

The “image” file TM uses is variable. Upon the creation and first backup; it starts out small (or whatever size the data you’ve just backed up). It does however grow over time as it tries to retain copies of old files as well. So basically the bigger the space it can work with, the further “back in time” you could restore your files as it were.

Now that’s all fine and dandy, but they should really give the user an option to specify how big they allow this image to be. And I’ll explain in a sec why this is something you’d want… as well as how to accomplish it. Read More

Call to boycott Creative Labs

I invite everyone to take a look at this thread… and be utterly disgusted. I also invite anyone who has time to spare, to do whatever you can in decreasing the market share of Creative Labs products.

I know that the influence of the internet is a very small percentage in affecting the bottom-line of hardware manufacturers such as this. The beauty of the web is that it doesn’t take much effort to be heard – no matter how small you are. So unlike trying to fix governments, the phrase “do your part, no matter how small” certainly applies here.
