For some inexplicable reason, I got myself a toy today. I was supposed to get 2 spindles of CD-ROMs so I could burn of a ton of stuff from my hard disk, but I ended up getting this (which cost an awful lot more):
Is film dead?
A friend and I went into a healthy debate wether the digital era was going to eclipse film in the realm of photography. He was a film user, and I of course, defended the digital era.
A lot of points were raised – different perceptions, yet all valid arguments.
I guess the quick answer to the title (is film dead) would be certainly not. However, will that be the case eventually?

Updates and other stuff
Updated the nBLOG Photo Archive (not to be confused with the main gallery) to paginate the photos. Since the photos used in the blog are small(ish) – there’s no need to generate thumbnails, but loading all of them in one page has its share of penalties with regards to bandwidth. The pagination of the pages should solve this problem.
I also will be applying the pagination to the complete article archive for the same reasons. Read More
