Green

You’re green, the color of growth and vigor. Good-hearted and giving, you have a knack for finding and bringing out the best in people. Green is the most down-to-earth color in the spectrum — reliable and trustworthy. People know they can count on you to be around in times of need, since your concern for people is genuine and sincere. You take pride in being a good friend. For you, success is measured in terms of personal achievement and growth, not by status or position. Rare as emeralds, greens are wonderful, natural people. It truly is your color!

I’d have to disagree with the traits, but I like the color 🙂 Read More

The PG13 post

I was looking for a good audio podcast (as in a podcast about audio recording/engineering) but using the typical keywords are damn difficult (recording, audio) usually hit any kind of content because in the world of podcasting, ulitmately, everything is audio or recorded.

So I tried clicking on the top rated podcasts and hoped I just found a title which sound like the podcast I was looking for… then I hit this title:

iPod stuff

Here’s something everyone should know about in case it’s true.

New critical flaw in the 5G iPod — destroys earbuds!

When my right earbud started making an annoying crackling sound I thought it was just the earbuds fault. But recently on iLounge it appears that a bunch of other iPod users have also had the problem, and with third party headphones as well! So, if you’re using an expensive pair of earbuds with your 5G — watch out!

If you follow the forums, there’s a considerable amount of people with similar problems, but again, not all are experiencing this.

I’m glad that this was posted nonetheless, I wouldn’t want to wreck a 300 dollar pair of headphones because Apple made sloppy work of the terminals. I hope that it’s just in the iPod though (like the terminals themselves get damaged, and not the earphones connected to them). In any case, here’s a heads-up for anyone.

Nanonano

After a lot of struggling with my inner demons… I finally succumbed to getting an iPod Nano.

In fairness, I think it was a very reasonable acquisition – after all, I chose to get it over getting a iPod Video. Making [somewhat] reasonable decisions is very difficult when one has technolust.

Pluggies

Since I came back from Australia, I haven’t had the chance to thank certain people for “plugging” me in their weblogs from the past year (ok actually only one from last year, but another one recently, hence this post). Of course Anybody can plug anyone – doesn’t really mean what they’re plugging is that important (but I do hope mine falls into the “somewhat cool/important category… asa pa ako!) In any case, it doesn’t hurt to be cordial and to give thanks where thanks is due.
