Maxine was put down this afternoon. We had already made the decision to put her down months ago, but couldn’t find the right time (and possibly the heart) to go through with it.<\/p>\n

Apart from being ridiculously old (she’s probably 98 in human years), she’s already been blind for a long time. Not only that, she has also been in “a state of delirium” as I would like to call it; she would just walk around in circles until she gets dizzy (ignoring if she bumped into anything) then lies down… rinse and repeat. The helper would also report of her “yelping” once in a while – while lying down… I’m guessing its because of difficulty breathing (or worse). Her appetite was long lost as well; last time I patted her, it was like patting a skeleton.<\/p>\n

Anyways, she stopped “responding” today; she would only breathe while lying down… I guess today was as good as any other day to finally do the deed. 1 <\/sup><\/a>I wasn’t even man enough to do it; I left it to Dad<\/span><\/span>
