Hoping that the Pac-Man\/Hitman fight would mean less people &#8211; we were wrong.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3648\/3497987750_a0bfc34a7f_o.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"You may click on the image for more details\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3648\/3497987750_6813323788_m.jpg\" class=\"wb\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p>As usual, some GoogleMap chronicling available <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps\/ms?ie=UTF8&amp;#38;hl=en&amp;#38;t=h&amp;#38;msa=0&amp;#38;msid=106466317332759697614.0004690ca0283caa0d93b&amp;#38;ll=14.711913,121.0741&amp;#38;spn=0.007077,0.012349&amp;#38;z=17\">here,<\/a> gallery pictures <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nargalzius.com\/gallery\/set.php?\/72157617647509874\">here<\/a><!--more--><!-- \/\/ --><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3576\/3497179377_5128dfcdce_o.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"You may click on the image for more details\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" align=\"right\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3576\/3497179377_11fe08cab2_m.jpg\" class=\"wb\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The plan was to have Cris try out a &#8220;trail&#8221; and experience what it feels like biking over uneven\/rocky grounds\/inclines, etc. Then we go around a bit, see what the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lamesaecopark.com\/parkmap.php\">park has to offer,<\/a> then have a picnic with our packed food. <\/p>\n<p>Just like a family picnic &#8211; without the kids <em>hahahaha.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Cris had to bail out early as she felt her current level of biking wasn&#8217;t enough to tackle a trail safely\/confidently. The trail was mostly rocks, not soil. And from the &#8220;starting point,&#8221; it&#8217;s basically all uphill &#8211; so I could see that it may be too much for her at least for now. Next time perhaps \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>I tried doing a quick run of the Butterfly Trail it to check it out while she waited in the Petron Fitness Trail. <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_955_1('footnote_plugin_reference_955_1_1');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_955_1('footnote_plugin_reference_955_1_1');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_955_1_1\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">1 <\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_955_1_1\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">Which isn&#8217;t really a &#8220;bike trail,&#8221; but more of a stripped down bootcamp style exercise field<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_955_1_1').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_955_1_1', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> I actually decided at one point to just go back without checking if I had indeed reached the end because <code>1)<\/code> I was alone <code>2)<\/code> it was a pretty high place with lots of rocks and <code>3)<\/code> and I was using cleated shoes. <\/p>\n<p>I literally didn&#8217;t want to take the chance of falling alone in that place or worse; falling down the slope &#8211; to uncharted territory without anyone to help me. Safety always comes first.<\/p>\n<p>I also didn&#8217;t want to keep Cris waiting, and I felt I was already taking too long exploring the relatively short trail (maybe because it was all uphill and the path was new to me)<\/p>\n<p>So we mostly dicked around the Fitness Trail; <a href=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3250\/3497980070_bf465c1c33_o.jpg\">trying out<\/a> the &#8220;facilities&#8221; &#8211; and biked around the rough parts, so she was still able to get a taste of some &#8220;trail&#8221; in a sense.<\/p>\n<h1>Change of Plans<\/h1>\n<p>We decided to load\/lock our bikes on the car and go back to check out La Mesa dam, and finally eat. But after the dam, the people were already so many that having a picnic there wasn&#8217;t that appealing to me anymore.<\/p>\n<p>We decided to leave for UP and bike some more, and look for a place to picnic (after all, it was easier to find spots there). We arrived in UP just as Manny&#8217;s fight was starting.
