{"id":952,"date":"2009-04-30T13:14:14","date_gmt":"2009-04-29T21:14:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nargalzius.com\/blog\/archives\/2009\/04\/30\/if\/"},"modified":"2009-04-30T13:14:14","modified_gmt":"2009-04-29T21:14:14","slug":"if","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/nargalzius.com\/blog\/archives\/2009\/04\/30\/if","title":{"rendered":"If&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230; your own Mom talks to you about some love\/life stuff, then asks for your opinion\/advice (which you give your 2 cents), then considers following it (your advice, that is)&#8230; should one be worried?<\/p>\n<p>I mean I&#8217;m pretty sure I gave a really straightforward opinion based on my views (i.e. brutally honest and unnerving to otherwise &#8220;innocent&#8221; individuals) &#8211; it just feels <em>really weird<\/em> how the tables have turned as far as &#8220;seeking wisdom&#8221; goes; <em>lalo na<\/em> when the main difference between us had always been our views on life.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know if it&#8217;s a good or bad thing; if I&#8217;ve &#8220;grown up&#8221; enough to actually &#8220;put some sense&#8221; in a person who I would normally seek advice from for most of my formative years &#8211; or if the world has become <em>that<\/em> messed up that it takes someone like me to make sense of it. <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_952_1('footnote_plugin_reference_952_1_1');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_952_1('footnote_plugin_reference_952_1_1');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_952_1_1\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">1 <\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_952_1_1\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">Because, while traditional views may be considered naive this day and age, there&#8217;s nothing fundamentally wrong with them; they just don&#8217;t apply [that well] anymore, that&#8217;s all<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_952_1_1').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_952_1_1', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>Perhaps it&#8217;s the latter, who knows. I guess if anything, it just proves that the one certain thing you can count on is <em>change.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Hope it turns out ok for her; at her age, that &#8220;aspect&#8221; of life shouldn&#8217;t even be an issue anymore.
