I know I have this sick sense of “justice” – regardless, this just made me smile.<\/p>\n

A South Korean man won his appeal against a one-year jail term for assisting in a suicide by throwing a lighter to his gasoline-soaked rival in love.<\/p>\n

The Seoul appeal court reversed a lower court ruling, saying that the 30-year-old man had not believed the ex-lover of his girlfriend would actually set light to himself.<\/p>\n

Last September, the former boyfriend had stopped the couple in their car after dousing himself in petrol, threatening to kill himself if she did not get out.<\/p>\n

The defendant then threw him a lighter, saying: “Go ahead and kill yourself,”<\/em> the news agency said.<\/p>\n

Let me take it further. What I think is this: even if you knew<\/em> the person was going to push though with it, I don’t think anyone should be responsible for a fucking idiot’s actions – especially if those actions are a direct nuisance<\/em> to your life.<\/p>\n

I’m all for taking responsibility for hurting people’s feelings and all that jazz, but there really should be a limit in how much “responsibility” you have over another person’s feelings – because sometimes they just bring it upon themselves, and it’s simply not fair<\/strong> to blame someone else for that kind of self-inflicted idiocy.<\/p>\n

Anyone who doesn’t value their own life clearly does not deserve it in the first place… I’m just sayin’. In fact, I think we don’t have enough of these “natural allies of overpopulation.”<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
