What better way to get high on piggybanks<\/em> than to bust out the ‘shrooms!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now that my coins have been building up to ridiculous amounts, I thought that I bought myself a nice piggybank. Then I remember seeing in ThinkGeek<\/a> the Super Mario Mushroom Banks<\/a> a while back. ThinkGeek<\/a> has stopped carrying these for quite a while, but I was lucky enough to find a store that sells them on the net.<\/p>\n

They’re every bit as awesome as I expected them to be! Well, I thought they’d be bigger, but as long as they’re the biggest available I guess it’s all good.<\/p>\n\"\"\n

I’m putting only 5 and 10 peso coins in it. Cris and I agreed to start saving those coins in particular and see how much we can save at the end of each year (who knows maybe enough for an out of town trip within the country)<\/p>\n

The 1s get demoted to a regular mug where I collect and group for parking payments and other shit. Now that I think about it, I think I should’ve gotten three of them and use the other red for the 1s.<\/p>\n

I’m using the 1-up mushroom<\/strong> (green), while Cris gets the Super mushroom<\/strong> (red) – which I think is quite apt (green = La Salle, and red is the closest ‘shroom you can get to represent UP’s maroon)<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
