I’ve been contemplating on selling my Powerbook. Not because I want or need to, but because I’ve been lucky enough to have most of the parts replaced in the past month under warranty. Taking into account the whole factor of depreciation, I figured that regardless of my needs, now is the best time to sell it because of its reconditioned state.<\/p>\n

It still comes with its box,\nmanuals, CDs, and various connectors\/adaptors from when it was new.<\/p>\n The warranty is still in effect until oct 2007 (non-Applecare) via SencoLink, an Apple gold-rated\nservice center\/retailer. I even have most receipts (from purchase, all through the services done on\nthe product over time) – just in case you want proof of the new components.<\/p>\n Simply put, as far as the integral components are concerned (LCD, Motherboard, Battery), this unit is\npractically near mint… but in the spirit of articulation, I’ll use the word “refurbished” to describe\nits current conditon.<\/p>\n It is worth reiterating that the most important<\/em> parts of a second hand unit have been replaced with new<\/strong> components. During the life of a laptop, you can certainly expect a considerable decrease in performance\/condition on the screen (LCD), the battery, and in some cases the hard disk. As mentioned above, all these have been newly replaced<\/strong> – so saying that this laptop is now virtually a month old not at all far from the truth.
