Actually I wanted to post because I didn&#8217;t want my last post (about equality) to be the entry that stays in the main page for a long time.<\/p>\n<p>First time visitors might read it and think I&#8217;m such an asshole when I&#8217;m really not hahahaha. Well ok, I&#8217;m a <em>bit<\/em> of an asshole &#8211; but you get my point.<\/p>\n<!--more-->\n<hr \/>\n<p>Last sunday, Cris and I went to the Bookfair in the <em>Wold Trade Center.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We went really early because it was a big venue, and I wanted her to have all the time she needed to go through everything that the fair had to offer.<\/p>\n<p>We ended up only spending 2 hours in it. I guess she wasn&#8217;t compatible with these types of fairs. While discounted, all books can be found anywhere else <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_496_1('footnote_plugin_reference_496_1_1');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_496_1('footnote_plugin_reference_496_1_1');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_496_1_1\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">1 <\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_496_1_1\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">She tends to favor books that are not so mainstream (e.g. hard to find) <\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_496_1_1').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_496_1_1', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top right', relative: true, offset: [10, 10], });<\/script> &#8211; and we all know that books like that aren&#8217;t really the books worth going to fairs for &#8211; unless you&#8217;re planning to get a ton of them. Otherwise, just save on gas and get it at almost the same price from your regular bookstore.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>I saw in <a href=\"freshstrawberries.blogspot.com\" title=\"visit blog\">Pia&#8217;s<\/a> blog that the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2006\/SHOWBIZ\/TV\/09\/04\/australia.irwin\/index.html\" title=\"view article\"><em>Crocodile Hunter<\/em><\/a> guy is dead. I&#8217;m actually speechless. Not because I feel anything. I mean sure, it&#8217;s a tragic event for the people involved (wife, children, etc.) But really now, are we <em>really<\/em> surprised that the danger has finally caught up with him? If anything, he&#8217;s actually <em>lucky<\/em> to have lived this long &#8211; considering the dangers he constantly puts himself in.<\/p>\n<p>I think the <em>actual<\/em> sad part was the way he died. He could&#8217;ve been killed in his more dangerous adventures &#8211; but instead, he was unwittingly stabbed in the chest by a Ray he didn&#8217;t see &#8211; and Rays attacking like that are said to be extremely rare cases.<\/p>\n<p>All these factors, points to the conclusion that <em>it really was his time.<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>I&#8217;m very pleased with the performance of my LCDs. Without a doubt, LCDs consume less power than CRTs. Less by a <strong>considerable<\/strong> margin.<\/p>\n<p>For example: I used to have a 20&#8243; CRT. I couldn&#8217;t connect it to the UPS along with the PC itself. Whenever I would disconnect the mains, the UPS can&#8217;t take the load of both components &#8211; and shuts down. I ended up putting the PC alone on the UPS.<\/p>\n<p>Now I&#8217;ve got these two 19&#8243; LCDs which are essentially as big as the CRT (or more) as far as screen size goes.
