I checked out the website, but didn&#8217;t find a match&#8230; so I Googled it.<\/p>\n<p>Check this <a href=\"http:\/\/66.102.7.104\/search?q=cache:raqFv2H2VkYJ:news.inq7.net\/mobile\/html_output\/20050305-29485.xml.html+%22people+precious+and+few%22&amp;hl=en\" title=\"View article\">Google-cached article<\/a> (which my sister confirmed to be the contents of what was in yesterday&#8217;s paper) Take note of the part that says:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>PPF eventually branched out into the realm of musical plays and concerts. In 1990, PPF waxed its first album, &#8220;Ama Namin,&#8221; under Ivory. Interestingly, PPF was <strong>the first to sing &#8220;Tanging Yaman&#8221; during mass service and weddings even before it became the theme song for the hit movie.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><em>Gee!,<\/em> and I thought <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bukaspalad.com\/\" title=\"The BukasPalad Music Ministry\"><em>we<\/em><\/a> were the one&#8217;s who owned the song&#8230; Fr. Manoling has a lot of explaining to do! hehehehehe<\/p>\n<p>Jokes aside, they should&#8217;ve phrased that bit of info along the lines of: <em>&#8220;They have been singing the song Tanging Yaman even before it became the theme song&#8230;&#8221;<\/em> That would be correct &#8211; and incidentally, would apply to <em>any<\/em> choir who had sung the song before the movie came out.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bukaspalad.com\/pages\/products.php?type=album&amp;id=3\" title=\"View album details\">Tanging Yaman<\/a> album was released 1989, The <strong>song<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bukaspalad.com\/pages\/songs.php?action=lookup&amp;id=17\" title=\"View Tanging Yaman song details\"><em>Tanging Yaman,<\/em><\/a> was composed by Fr. Manoling while in the novitiate in 1986. Now unless we haven&#8217;t been informed of such an arrangement with the PPF, we&#8217;d be inclined to believe that <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bukaspalad.com\/\" title=\"The BukasPalad Music Ministry\">Fr. Manoling&#8217;s choir<\/a><\/em> would get to be the first to sing <strong>his<\/strong> compositions.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s all good fun though, we <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bukaspalad.com\/\" title=\"The BukasPalad Music Ministry\">BP<\/a> don&#8217;t intend to make a big deal of it &#8211; that&#8217;s why I&#8217;m not posting this in the Ministry&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bukaspalad.com\/\" title=\"The BukasPalad Music Ministry\">official site<\/a>.
