Its case design was inspired by the sloping hills of sand in Dunes National Lakeshore, Indiana &#8211; whereas its hands take cues from fountain\/calligraphy pens. And in my opinion, it works very well.<\/p>\n<!-- \/\/ --><!--more--><!-- \/\/ -->\n<h1>Impressions<\/h1>\n<p>The watch box itself is a single-watch travel case with compartments for tools and possibly extra straps. A lot of attention to detail was put into this product. Even the <a href=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/602\/23470812820_8012be3e17_o.jpg\">embossing<\/a> on the case was nice and crisp.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5630\/23684132061_8ea7838762_o.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"click for more\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5630\/23684132061_e472f036b2_n.jpg\" class=\"wb\">\n<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<p>I would say the strength of this watch [and probably the most apt term to be throwing at it] would be its <strong>presence.<\/strong> The first time I saw the <a href=\"http:\/\/kck.st\/1ulYPMI\">campaign video<\/a>, it somehow reminded me of a Panerai for some reason. They&#8217;re totally different watches, obviously &#8211; but for me, the Duneshore could hold its own against the established brand on the <em>presence<\/em> department. Hell, it even trumps the PAM on the <a href=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/733\/23684126501_e811d21eae_o.jpg\">tang buckle design<\/a><\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5767\/23398575699_236f85fc4b_o.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"click for more\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5767\/23398575699_66ca64a681_n.jpg\" class=\"wb\">\n<\/a>\n<div class=\"caption bottom\">Looks just as expensive<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The display back exposing the workhorse Miyota 9015, is even more stunning to look at<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5662\/23138345414_c5abb2aa37_o.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"click for more\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5662\/23138345414_c12476e219_n.jpg\" class=\"wb\">\n<\/a>\n<div class=\"caption bottom\">Those curves&#8230; that rotor &#8211; delicious!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>And take a look at that lume. Notice how the sandwich dial works for those little [lumed] minute indices. The white on black date text (also lumed) is not commonly done, but it looks fantastic both in daylight or in the dark. Having a circular date window would&#8217;ve probably worked better with the design language, but no biggie.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5665\/23398598619_4891efeb75_o.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"click for more\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5665\/23398598619_98a85a1495_n.jpg\" class=\"wb\">\n<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<h1>Conclusion<\/h1>\n<p>All in all, wearing the watch is a joy.
