Later that night was Juan’s<\/a> birthday dinner. I thought it was a small dinner followed by a team meeting… little did I know that he actually threw a party at the roofdeck of their condominium.<\/p>\n\n The traffic was horrendous, that I had to park inside<\/em> the Greenhills mall area – so I stopped by Games and Gadgets along the way to get my pod a click wheel protector.<\/p>\n It was quite a night – it made me realize how small the world actually is. I saw Pam, the older sister of my College benchmate Tricia. (Earlier in the morning, during the mass, I saw Cris, a DWTL girl who’s going to be rectress of the Christmas batch)<\/p>\n And of course I met the wife of the millionaire being talked about during the morning mass’ homily. And she’s only a batch ahead of me! I was expecting a woman in her mid-thirties. Turns out they were only recently married.<\/p>\n Nono<\/a> followed, where I proceeded to leech on his iPod for songs I don’t have.<\/p>\n Also, A PhilMUG member (and friend of Juan<\/a>) came and brought our orders of Powerbook port covers:<\/p>\n I noticed one thing… ever since this whole Mac thing, I’ve developed worse<\/em> spending habits. Not in the sense that I buy impulsively (that was there ever since), but now it’s more of that my normal tolerable price floor<\/em> went a notch higher… and that’s a bad thing.<\/p>\n These examples should clarify everything considering they’re just stuff that mostly protect<\/em> my laptop and iPod:<\/p>\n Those are indeed normal prices for those stuff, but I realized that if I was still in the PC mentality, I would have NEVER bought them. This is bad… real bad. I mean come on, 10k for simple protection.
