Yay, I get to post on the “music” category again.<\/p>\n
I got to use my AKG mics<\/a> today (well just the C1000S). GP<\/a> calls me today and says he needs to come up with a “scat” for one of ACS’s<\/a> songs. Suffice to say it didn’t end up as such hehehe.<\/p>\n I was both honored (that GP, an accomplished arranger, chooses me whenever he needs “impromptu” adlib ideas), as well as creeped out – since that blasted “study tape” (MP3 technically) will undoubtedly pass through the strict ears of Mr. Jojo Velasco,<\/a> as well as the other accomplished Chamber Singers<\/a><\/p>\n\n Normally I’d be fine with the adlibs I made, since they are<\/em> decent. But as per requirement, I had to do some bluesy, minor arpeggios on what one would normally sound like a “major” cadence.<\/p>\n The minor-ish scales and harmonies were nice, I myself dug them (I should as I made them heheheh). I just hope that hearing the guitar’s basic chords doesn’t throw the listeners off-track.<\/p>\n If anyone should listen to it, and think it was ok – thank you. If not, I apologize, but it was intentional<\/em> hahaha.
