That’s what you get…

… when you’ve got nothing better to do.

Cris was out with her fellow teachers on a trip to Baguio for the weekend, which meant I was home alone the whole weekend.

I used the downtime as an opportunity to fix my iTunes library some more – but with twenty-plus thousand songs, obviously it’s still not done. Then idle thoughts started creeping in…

I was thinking while doing the library, that if I should get another iPod exclusively for my car (see how OC I can be with my stuff?). The iPod touch was simply too small to hold a decent playlist that was meant for the car (read: biggest portable library possible). The 60GB (iPod photo) is ok, but only if we’re talking music selections – what about my podcasts? What about my audiobooks? I put that notion aside because it wasn’t really urgent.

I was bored today (Sunday), so I decided to go to The Fort alone and check out the shops. Besides, I was looking for reasons to put some mileage on the car para umabot sa 1st 1000km; 1 So it can have its first periodic inspection which is so difficult to do – because I don’t go out that often.

Anyways, I saw this cool looking titanium-health-choker-thingie. I know that these health stuff don’t really work, but the choker looked really nice.

How nice? Put it this way, it cost 10k, and I was still considering buying it because… well why the fuck not!? Hahaha. Anyways, I was aware of the impulse and decided to walk around to mull over it some more. I then got into that Mac store and saw a sexy black-metal, black click-wheel 120GB iPod classic.

I decided that if I was willing to spend that much on a useless accessory on a whim, I might as well use that reasoning as a justification to get an actual useful item – one which I’ve been meaning to get eventually anyways.

So I called Dickoy (where I recently have been getting my Mac stuff) to have a unit made ready… and I’m now syncing the new iPod as I type this. I can’t wait to use it on the car because not only is the storage capacity huge, but the metallic black finish on these new iPod classics go so well with my car’s dashboard/interior!

I’ll try to post some pics when I have a chance.

Maybe Cris’ll think twice before leaving me all alone to my devices hahaha; she’s always been my “sheath” when it came to my impulsive behavior.
